After three remarkable years with BST Galaxy, Omar Njie departs the club to join Manila Diggers FC, who are set to compete in the AFC Champions League 2 qualifiers.
Njie played a crucial role in Galaxy’s rapid rise, helping the club secure promotion to the Gambia Football Federation First Division in its very first year. He was instrumental in the 2022/23 season, finishing runners-up in the Second Division. This season, Njie featured in 10 second-round matches, kept four clean sheets, and helped Galaxy finish fourth , a remarkable achievement for a young club.
The move comes as part of BST Galaxy’s mission to develop, support, and empower young Gambian footballers. CEO and Club President stated:
